Right on the heels of the race weekend news, Disney announced that it will be laying off 28,000 Cast Members across the Parks and Experiences Division; at every level from executive to hourly, part time workers. Sadly, tens of thousands of families will be affected by these cuts, and we want to encourage all of our listeners to support them in their time of need. If you have ever had a special experience at the Parks because a Cast Member made a little extra magic just for you, please consider contributing to the cause by:
Donating to the Disney Tourist Blog’s Virtual Food Drive to benefit Second Harvest
Working with the WDW Cast Member and Hospitality Pets in Need group
Shopping with Foolish Mortal Supply Company and Orange State Trading Company, who will be donating proceeds from sales to support Cast Member relief efforts.
